The bed of the Dakota is made a type of sedimentary rock called slate, known and valued worldwide for incredible durability even with little or no maintenance. The slate is unmodified from its original state except for being precision-cut to form the slab, and if the table is installed right and properly treated, the slate bed can last a lifetime.

Low-Maintenance Felt

The felt cloth is made of a special blend of wool and nylon coated with Teflon that allows it to effortlessly ward off stains and water damage, beading up accidental spills and making it easy to wipe off the mess without worrying about the table. With proper brushing, the felt can last for up to 20 years, after which the table can be re-felted and ready to go again.

Hardwood Frame and Enduring Style

In our opinion, nothing matches the durability and timeless appeal of real wood, and our favorite aspect of the Dakota is its beautiful hardwood frame.
